No, Skhert is not a regular skirt, shirt extender, skort, or bottom wrap, though it is inspired by all of those items. Skhert is an accessory designed to wear over leggings, specifically, as well as jeans, jeggings, slacks and shorts as desired. Why leggings specifically? Because as comfortable and convenient as leggings are for women to wear, when we want to feel more stylish, leggings aren't the first item in our wardrobe that comes to mind. Adding a Skhert changes that perception instantly.
Skherts add color, coverage, texture, and a creative dimension to leggings. We designed Skherts without linings or shorts underneath to avoid feeling restricted. Our Skherts come without pockets to reduce bulk, as more leggings -- especially athletic ones -- are being designed with pockets anyway. A key feature to Skherts is that they're thigh-high in the front for easy leg movement and dip a little lower in the back for a bit of flair and swing as you move. Also, with a two-inch, non-elastic waist band, you can fold the waist band over if you want a slightly shorter look overall.
