When selecting the colorways to debut our Skhert line in winter, we wanted hues that were subtle and appropriate for the season, with flashes of rich colors included to keep the pieces interesting and wearable through the end of spring. We also wanted to feature two Skhert styles for added versatility.
Six Colorways
Green, in our estimation, is woefully underutilized as a neutral, but the moment we saw this fabric, we knew we wanted to include it in the lineup. There’s the slightest hint of blue that adds depth as opposed to coolness. This green is warm and vibrant.
Black is classic and appropriate for most occasions, and this little number doesn’t disappoint. It’s an uber-versatile piece made from recycled polyester fiber primarily derived from post-consumer plastic bottles, for an eco-friendly choice that feels luxurious. Our green and blue Skherts use the same technology.
Crimson is a lively color, and the fabric's finish feels glazed and looks shiny, making it perfect for creating a bold statement at a special event. The fabric is medium-weight and smooth to the touch.
Tiger stripes can be too dramatic for some women’s tastes and limit the occasions for wearing. However, this foil black tiger stripe on black activewear fabric stands out as elegant and timeless with a twist.
This shade of blue is front and center in our premier line because it’s intensely vibrant, working as a cool, punchy color that adds a spark of cheeriness to winter.
Charcoal Grey makes a professional statement and offers a break from classic black while still looking as refined. This heathered fabric has the right amount of black fiber knitted in for distinction.
Two Styles
Having two Skhert styles to launch the brand meant appealing to a broader range of women and their fashion interests.
Our Hip Hip Her-Ray! Skhert fits closer to the body for a streamlined finish. Our Merry Mak-Her on the Move! Skhert flares for more fullness around the butt and hips. Both styles feature longer backs that “pop” and “swing” for a bit of fashion flair, but mainly to accommodate butts and hips in motion.
We always knew we wanted to position Skhert as a premium brand in the market. That meant at a minimum our fabrics and manufacturing needed to be top tier. Going forward, it also means our choices must always be thoughtful to provide a meaningful shopping experience for our customers in the coming years.
