The "back" story (and a little bit of the "side" story)

Skhert is a brand owned by women. We design with the contours of women's bodies in mind. We design for beauty, comfort, and confidence. As we expand our lines, we hope you'll take the journey with us.

“Just assume that women have butts and hips!”

That really should be our brand motto because that’s precisely what we do when we design our Skherts. We assume that women have butts and hips in all shapes and sizes -- we are not surprised by this -- and then we design accordingly.

The Back Story

Women have butts and hips and estrogen. Estrogen significantly influences us to store fat in the booty and hips, particularly during reproductive years. Likewise, the skeletal structure of a woman’s body is wider in the pelvis to accommodate childbirth, leading to fuller rear ends in all shapes and sizes.

We designed Skhert with butts and hips in mind. We design for her (it’s in our name!). And in fact, we believe that by accommodating women with fuller butts and hips we will enhance the Skhert-wearing experience for most women, and I think we really, really got this part right.

We design our Skherts slightly longer in the back, like the backs of some peplum tops, for a bit of drama and flair. You get the idea. The end result is an accessory apparel with some “pop” and “swing” that drapes instead of rising up your bottom and sticking out when you put it on.

The Side Story

As women, our bodies change a lot. At Skhert, we strive to create accessory apparel that you feel confident in every single day, no matter the season of life, time of month, or whatever. We (talking about you and us) are perpetual works of art in progress, but that doesn’t mean we have to be miserable in the process. At the very least, we can start our days, run our errands, and just do life feeling comfortable and looking good.

As our brand grows, we’ll add new Skhert styles -- exciting African, floral, and geometric prints to help you level up the look of your leggings, jeggings, jeans, slacks, shorts, etc. We’ll also always design with your body and our bodies in mind. And the Skherts will look beautiful on all of us.
